Where Knowledge Transfer Meets the Fabric of Cities and Fashion Addressing the Sustainable use of Natural Resources
"How do you walk in the world?"
This is a common question asked by World Walkers.
Comprised of entrepreneurs, this B.I.O (by-invitation-only) membership organization is limited to cohorts of 300 seasoned professionals with a minimum of 25 years of experience (Silver Knights) and 300 each of pre-gen, next-gen, and mid-career members with between 10-15 years of experience (Black Knights).
The foundation of being a World Walker is to be a servant leader in transferring knowledge across generations across geographies and professional domains. To accomplish this, Walkers commit time and resources to seek knowledge and wisdom from across the globe across domains. These domains include issues and everything humans do that impacts our physical environment (e.g., city planning, housing, food production, energy production, public health, housing, etc.).
Our environment is where the intersection of urban/rural design and fashion design and production intersect. From growing cotton to the refinement of petroleum, rubbers, and the production of dyes for synthetics in clothing and fresh water consumption all profoundly impact our environment.
Ethical design and production of the shelters we put over our heads and the clothing we put on our backs profoundly impact how we all live in the world and how we ethically walk within it.
Please feel free to contact us for more information about what is required to be in the cohort of World Walkers. Regardless of whether you walk with us, others, or walk alone, we look forward to seeing you walking the path and serving on the path.
Excelsior!
World Walkers take paths that sometimes bend.
